The Real Dog mum of South Yorkshire

About Laura

I remember my first encounter with a dog. I was 7 years old and my uncle had what seemed a large and bouncy chocolate Labrador, Chester. Being a smaller than average 7 year old and no experience of dogs before, I was terrified, hiding behind my mum’s leg like it would protect me somehow.

Uncle Les was my hero in this scenario. He handed me the yellow ball and gradually taught me all the wonderful things about dogs. Before the end of my holiday with him, I left wanting a dog of my own. The best I could have to own my own dogs was to work in a dog kennel. As soon as I reached 15, I worked every weekend in our local kennel, where I came across three beautiful dogs, Kafka, Kia and Kye. This was my dream, to have three of my own.

When I left home that’s exactly what I did. My trio, Kafka Kia and Kye, (and later Kookie and Koko) would teach me more than I could ever dream about life love and everything in between. It has been through caring for such beautiful souls I am able to share my own knowledge of looking after your beautiful dogs from birth to the end of their life.

My medical background alongside extensive research when my dogs became ill have enabled enriched and enhanced quality lives for all of my dogs. And I can tell you, there is no dog parent quite dedicated to offer you an understanding, and an insight into the highs and lows of a dogs life ❤️
